Yes, I'm going to anger a bunch of people with this post.  Live with it.

I ran across this story and was both surprised and confused.  Unfortunately, that is becoming a trend with the crazy news that's going on lately.

Matthew Kachinas was an OB-GYN in Florida who was willing to perform late 2nd trimester abortions.  There are few who are willing to do that.  The woman, who conceived via in vitro fertilization, was carrying a girl and a boy.  The girl was "normal" according to tests, but the boy appeared to suffer from Down syndrome and heart problems, among other things.  The woman decided to have a "selective-reduction procedure."
I love the names they come up with for these things.  A "selective-reduction procedure"?....get real, she decided to kill the boy.

Dr. Matthew Kachinas, while not having any experience with the procedure, agreed to do it anyway.  He ended up killing the girl, who the woman wanted to keep.  Of course, after an ultrasound a week later showed the boy was still alive, the mother ended up aborting him also.

Dr. Matthew Kachinas told reporters he was suicidal and distraught over the situation.  His medical license has been revoked.  He has been released after having a psych evaluation.

Now, some questions come to mind:
He has aborted God knows how many other healthy children, but aborting this girl made him suicidal?

He lost his license for killing the wrong kid?  Doesn't killing any kids seem contrary to the idea of "do no harm"?

The woman in this case had in vitro fertilization, seeming to indicate she has had prior troubles getting pregnant.  Would she be happy with any child?  This isn't a shopping trip- you don't pick out what you want and discard the rest.

It ain't free speech if you can't say what it is that's on your mind. People may not like it but they should acknowledge your right to say it if that is how you feel. Case in point. I tend to talk in colors....white people this, black people or niggas this (note the spelling, spics, fags, etc. I'm not prejudiced and I'm not racist, just outspoken :) and yeah I could hurt some people and if they pissed me off I don't really care and if you were a bystander and you were offended I don't care. I just don't buy into political correctness and I don't live to try and make people feel warm and fuzzy. I was the first person to defend Dog Chapman when he made the comment about his son's girlfriend not because I begrudged him saying it I just thought he was ignorant. What does the color of his son's girlfriend skin make if she makes him happy. I was the first to defend Michael richards because he was doing his job. Who were those guys to antagonize him at his job then when he got mad and said some things that made them shut the fu*k up they want to cry racism. I was so outraged I personally topok time out of my busy day to write to the network after the news broke. Michael richards was nice compared to what I would have said. The whole point of speaking the words Richards did was to make the m feel bad...mission accomplished! So now you know what i think.
